LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY
Leadership is the opportunity to use your lived experiences to inspire you on what you want to accomplish. From my perspective to be a leader means that you focus on the issue at hand, clearly identify what needs to be done, build up your peers, keep a positive attitude, take initiative, ask for help when needed and lead by example, you should do what you expect of others. Over time my leadership understanding has evolved. Before high school I considered a leader to be someone older like a family member or an authority figure at school. When I got to high school, I considered students to be leaders and in turn, I became a leader by joining Link Crew, Cheerleading, and Associated Student Body. When I started college, people I considered to be a leader was a combination of my previous understandings, until my senior year. This is when I began to consider students to be leaders again because I saw my friends and peers in different leadership positions which inspired me to utilize any leadership opportunities that presented itself.
